Meet Dr. Kamisugi
Dr. Curtis N. Kamisugi, a native of Hawaii, was born and reared in Wahiawa. After graduating from Punahou High School, he received his B.S. in biology in 1977 from the University of Oregon. He continued his education at Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1981 and his Master of Science in orthodontics in 1983.
While earning his dental degree, Dr. Kamisugi was elected to membership in the honorary dental society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and received the International College of Dentists award for outstanding achievement. In 1983, Dr. Kamisugi was the recipient of the Robert Farnsworth Award for the outstanding orthodontic graduate.
He is active in many professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Hawaii Dental Association, and Hawaii Society of Orthodontists. He has been practicing orthodontics in Aiea, HI since 1984.
Dr. Kamisugi met his wife, Dr. Cynthia Merrick, in dental school, and they share the Aiea office. They reside in Honolulu with their two children, Ryan and Maile. In his free time, Dr. Kamisugi enjoys photography, spending time with his family, traveling, surfing, and playing golf.
